Edward Vallas – Vallis – Vallace was born in Middlesex, he enlisted into the NSW Corps in in 1790 in England. He arrived in NSW aboard the Britannia 1791.
He served on Norfolk Island, arriving aboard the Supply in Oct 1796, recorded in the 1792 – 1796 Victualing book as Edward Nallis. Edward returned to Sydney aboard HMS Reliance in Mar 1796. Continue reading
Mary Carter – McCarthy, Convict, Lady Juliana 1790 was sent to Norfolk Island aboard the Surprize in Aug 1790. On Norfolk Island she formed a relationship with First Fleeter Robert Nunn. He was born 1758. Crime: Steal 1 coat, silver, lace and two hat loops. Tried: Old Bailey, 7 July 1784. Sentence: 7 years transportation to America. Continue reading
Samuel Marsden was born 1769 England. He arrived in NSW aboard the Surprize 1790. He first travelled to Norfolk Island aboard the Supply in Apr 1791, returning to Sydney and was again travelling to Norfolk island aboard the Kitty in Feb 1793.
On Norfolk Island he formed a relationship with Rachael Early (Convict Friendship 1788). Rachael Early had married John Price, Convict Alexander 1788, on 1 June 1788 St Phillips Sydney. There were no children from the union. They were both sent to Norfolk Island aboard the Golden Grove in Oct 1788, and were living at Queensborough on Norfolk Island.
John was born 1770, Marlow Buckingham England, he enlisted into the NSW Corps in Jun 1789 England; arriving in NSW aboard the Britannia in 1791.
At some stage he went to Norfolk Island, returning aboard HMS Reliance arriving in Sydney Mar 1796. He formed a relationship with Sarah WISE, Convict, Indispensible, 1796. Their first child was born Mar 1797 in Sydney, Continue reading
Henry Wright, Private, Royal Marines 51st (Plymouth) Company, Prince of Wales 1788.
Also aboard was his wife Mrs Ann Wright and their new born daughter Mary Ann. Henry and Ann were married 20 Oct 1786 Portsea, Hampshire, England. Their daughter Mary Ann Wright was baptised 19 Aug 1787 on board the Prince of Wales at Rio de Janerio, the baptism appears in St Phillips registrar as Charlicut Wright. Continue reading
