Mary Carter – McCarthy, Convict, Lady Juliana 1790 was sent to Norfolk Island aboard the Surprize in Aug 1790. On Norfolk Island she formed a relationship with First Fleeter Robert Nunn. David was born Dysert, Fife Scotland. He joined HMS Sirius 28 Oct 1786 at Deptford, aged 27 years. He was promoted to Quarter Gunner 6 Feb 1789. Spelling variations of his name include Bear, Bain, Baird and Bean.
David was stranded on Norfolk Island in Mar 1790 after the shipwreck of HMS Sirius, being mustered on 20 Mar 1790 on Norfolk Island after the shipwreck. He drowned while helping to unload provisions and passengers from the Justinian and the Surprize, on 17 Aug 1790 at Cascade Bay. Continue reading

Samuel Marsden was born 1769 England. He arrived in NSW aboard the Surprize 1790. He first travelled to Norfolk Island aboard the Supply in Apr 1791, returning to Sydney and was again travelling to Norfolk island aboard the Kitty in Feb 1793.
On Norfolk Island he formed a relationship with Rachael Early (Convict Friendship 1788). Rachael Early had married John Price, Convict Alexander 1788, on 1 June 1788 St Phillips Sydney. There were no children from the union. They were both sent to Norfolk Island aboard the Golden Grove in Oct 1788, and were living at Queensborough on Norfolk Island.
George Plyer was born c1759 at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England. He arrived in NSW as a private of the Royal Marines 30th Company aboard the Friendship in 1788. As George Player he was sent to Norfolk Island aboard HM Supply in June 1789.

William CABLE, Private, Royal Marines 33rd (Plymouth) Company Scarborough, HMS Sirius 1788. He served with Captain-Lieutenant Tench’s Company as part of the Port Jackson Garrison.
