Atlantic 1792

William Ashford, described in 1792 as an “incorrigible lad” dismissed from the NSW Corps, was repeatedly sent between Port Jackson and Norfolk Island after discharge and later convictions, he was ultimately sentenced to seven years’ hard labour on Norfolk Island. His later fate is uncertain, though he likely died there between 1797 and 1801.
