Elizabeth Lock, Convict, Lady Penrhyn 1788

Elizabeth Lock was born 1763. She was tried with the crime of two counts of break, enter and steal at Gloucester on 26 Mar 1783. Elizabeth was sentence to death but was commuted to 7 years transportation.  She arrived in NSW aboard the Lady Penrhyn 1788 Elizabeth was on rations in Sydney in 1788.

Elizabeth married Richard Morgan, 30 Mar 1788, St Phillips Sydney. Richard MORGAN, Convict, Alexander 1788. Crime: Assault and rob. Tried: Gloucester, 23 Mar 1785. Sentence: 7 years transportation.  Richard arrived on Norfolk Island aboard HM Supply in Jan 1790. Continue reading

John Armsworth – Harmsworth, Child of Marine, Prince of Wales 1788

John Aimsworth Drummer of the NSW Corps is actually John Armsworth – Harmsworth, Marine Child, Prince of Wales 1788, son of Thomas and Alice Harmsworth. He was born 1 Dec 1787 aboard the Prince of Wales, on the voyage to NSW. John arrived on Norfolk Island Oct 1791 with his mother, sister Ann and step father Daniel Stanfield aboard the Atlantic. Jonathan Price, Convict, Atlantic 1791

He enlisted into the NSW Corps in 1800 Sydney. He arrived on Norfolk Island aboard HMS Porpoise in January 1801, serving with the102nd Foot Regiment on Norfolk Island until his departure aboard the Lady Nelson in March 1810. Continue reading

Nathaniel Fowler, Convict, Atlantic 1791

Nathaniel Fowler was sentenced to 7 years transportation, on 5 Oct 1789 at Exeter, Devon England. He arrived in NSW aboard the Atlantic in 1791, he later had joined the NSW Corps in Nov 1797. He travelled to Norfolk Island with Joseph Foveaux’s NSW Corps Company part of the 102nd Regiment aboard the Hunter in July 1800; he served on Norfolk Island with the rank of private. Continue reading
